ActionScript is a scripting language that is used on the web or language you use in your flash movies.ActionScript is used primarily for the development of websites and software using the Adobe Flash Player platform (in the form of SWF files embedded into Web pages).

*It is also uses in Alpha five and applications

Hw What is symbol

What are the types of symbol.

Answer: Graphiscs symbol, movie clip symbol, and button symbol.

Graphic is an image(static) or a piece of text. It only has takes up one frame and can;t be clicked on. Then movie clip allows you to animate graphic using several frames. Then button is a graphic with extra variables that allows the use of some Action Scripts Buttons take up four frames and can be clickes on.

My First client Website Proposal (Interview)

I and my partner interview our client, to know what there goals and target audience, content, design requirements and design requirements are in oder for us to make our client websites. As we ask our client what there goals and target audience, we ask our client to identify three long term goals of your website . They responded "to entertain, to keep people up to date with the latest news and to be the first people to put the first thing out to the market. Then my partner and I asked "what should the site inspire the audience to do after they visit"? Our clients said "they should inspire the artist to come back." The next question was to identify some immediate goals of your website and name some keys information you want the audience from your site ? Our clients answer to identify the viewer attention and some key information to is new music, new videos, new clothes and basicly everything etc. The content expectations that our clients target audience is entertaining media. The characteristics that our client target audience wan is Happy teenager, Happy fun and Smart. The age range of their websiteis 16+ - adults. The reading level for the website is averaged, their is no requirements such as disabilities, its fun for everybody. The target audience will be online all day!. In fact the website is to be social networking. The website can be describe such as top notch friendly site, a bag of chips !


In fact, we also interview our clients about content and design requirements that they wanted their website to have. The title of their site will be Source .... where you can come to stay! . The animation as you can see above is a draft of what the title would look like and the effects it will have, to make the title stand out more and attract people more to the website. The topics that they want to be covered in their site is sports , TV shows, movies, music, games, entertainment etc.. The background that our client want their website to be is purple + black or blue and font white or black depending on the background. However they don't want no pink, yellow, orange and green in their website. Also some of the websites that our clients like is YouTube, college humor, myspace, face book and imeem (music). The browser that the site want to support is netscape, internet Explorer, and AOL. Also the platform that the site should support is Windows. All of this requirements has to be put in the website or try to.

Project Doodler

Publish your design on your blog and explain it. What are you trying to communicate with your version of the Google logo? What tools did you use?

Answer: I'm trying to show St Patrick day to everyone. Trying to show them what is St Patrick and how green it is. Also by showing them that the day of St patric there should be a pot of gold and St Parick is also includes a rainbow. I use the marquee tool in photoshop, brush tool, gardient tool and also the text affect tool.

a._What were your initial goals for the page banner?
Answer: My initial for this page banner is to make my banner more colorful using more colors and making my tittle stand out more. Also adding a better picture to my banner. Also by giving people the latest fashion, and the best!

b._What design concepts and principles did you incorporate into the page banner?
Answer: I used colors that stand out.Colors very dramatic and cute. I made my background with a light purple. Howeverv i added a circle and made its background very colorful using 4 colors and making it have a flower pattern. Adding a picture so it can describe more the banner. Also giving it a txt that describes my banner and says what my banner or website is about. However to make the txt stand out more i added a glow.

c._How was each design concept intended to contribute to communicating the purpose of the page banner?hat
Answer: The colors i used which were pink black, blue and purple are colors grab attention and colors that when u read the title Fashion Freak comes to mind. Pink, black, purple and blue are colors that deal with fashion alot. The picture I used, i picked it because I think it makes people think that is a very colorful website and the fashion is very frutie, nice looking and the very latest fashion.

d._Do you have new goals in mind for the page banner? If so, what are they and why?
Answer: Yes I do one of my goals is to add a another pic and make the banner side blur. Also to make my banner a little more bigger so it won;t look to small and i would be able to add more stuf.

LB 3 Diana Londono Name Plate

What were your initial goals for the logo?
Answer:My initial goals was to make the name plate using my favorite colors yellow and blue. Make a pattern combining the color.Making my name stand out a little more than the background but not to much. Their was going be shapes such as stars. Making my my main star which had to be right next to my name before my name starts. Making this star big and making it as a shooting star. Also for my name plate have a shadow. Its suppose to describe me and make people want to read my websites, for them tto enjoy.

Does the logo have match the initial goals? why or why not
Yes and No. Yes because my name plate was yellow and blue and it had a pattern. My name plate had a shadow which made it stand out much more. My name plate stand out, but it didn't stand out as i expected. Also my name plate didn't have no shapes and especially didn't have any stars or shooting star. However it describe me but not completely, it wasn't verry attractibe but is still grabs attention.

Expectations

I have many expectations that i want to accomplish. For example I expect myself to create and learn how to make websites, so it can help me in the future. Also to do good in this class and get good grades so its grades affect my grade in good ways. I expect my teacher to teach me everything she knows about web design. Another expectation is to help my family in Colombia so I can help them, the economic in my country is bad. To expect myself to be a leader and help other people who need help.
